Our 2024 Sales Awards Luncheon was a heartfelt reminder of the incredible people behind our success. We’re proud to highlight the teammates who stood out this year for their outstanding contributions.

Honoring the Spirit of the Barefoot Broker

One of the luncheon's most meaningful moments was the presentation of the Jim Batten Barefoot Broker Spirit Award, named in memory of our founder and guiding light, Jim Batten. Known for his warmth, sincerity, and steadfast dedication to helping others, Jim’s legacy lives on in the culture and spirit of our team.

This year, we were honored to present the 2024 award to Angela Clark. Though Angela was unable to attend in person, her husband, Dennis Blazer, accepted the award on her behalf.

When announcing the award, Jim’s daughter and EIR owner, Julia Batten Wax, shared a beautiful tribute that captured the essence of both her father and Angela’s character:

“Angela, you reflect Jim in so many ways. You’re steady and kind, and your integrity shines through in every conversation, decision, and friendly smile... You create an atmosphere of warmth and community that Jim would have loved... We see Jim’s spirit in your optimism, your readiness to go the extra mile, and the joy you find in making others feel welcome.”

Angela’s impact on our team is immeasurable. From her support of fellow agents to her ability to make everyone feel at home, she truly embodies the spirit of the Barefoot Broker. Congratulations, Angela—you are so deserving of this honor!
